Yes, this unit is designed to operate into extreme cold temperatures. The unit is proven to effectively heat to up to 20 degrees Celsius in ambient outside temperatures of -56 Celsius with windchill.
ACI advises that the unit be stored in an enclosed area when not in use. The severe cold weather will affect battery performance. If not possible, use a battery warmer or remove the battery.
There is a blue beacon light atop the unit that will flash to indicate the unit is operating.
